Hi all, Well for me it is a change to the season for racing. My last triathlon was Helvellyn Triathlon last weekend in the Lake District. I found more out about myself during this race than any other I have competed in previously. Now to take a well earned rest and then to have a play during winter with cyclo-cross, something I have done for over 12 years now. Its a great sport and helps with the technical elements of the bike. Cross country running is also something that many triathletes do over winter. Either choose cross or xc but try not to combine the two. If you are near the end of the season please do take a break ‘ get out of shape’ 3-4 weeks especially if you have had a long season. Time to meet up with friends /take your partner out for a meal and say thanks for all the support in 2018 ( and think on to 2019- but maybe ask at the next meal out). You will feel refreshed after the break and then back in to training easy to look forward to 2019. There is no rush to jump back into training so if you feel you need a longer break then take it but try not to cut it short.
If you want to chat about what to do in 2019 ,get in touch and let’s see what fun can be a had next year. On going to press good luck to those cycling Lejog this next week( lands end to John ‘o’ Groats) and also Brian racing in the Berlin marathon.
