2020 and all that

Happy New Year to everyone around the globe. 2020 is Olympic Year and I have heard that they are making the medals out of recycled materials. The beds in the Olympic Village will be cardboard etc. So for that reason alone it will be worth watching. For triathlon we have many athletes from GB who will be hoping to bring a medal home so good luck and I will be one definitely following closely. I may even be fortunate to be going , but there is a lot of hard work to be done by the athletes before then.

For the rest of us who are wanting to compete this year there are a lot of things to consider- plan carefully – do not overload your racing programme- can it include a holiday to suit the family- can you get time off work- can you realistically do the distance. There are so many things to think about and this is where a coach can help to point you in the right direction.

Please do not become the ‘hungry donkey’ and look at lots of different articles in magazines and thinks let’s try method this week and something next week because it looks good. That will not work and you may end up injured or not doing the right training for the particular race.

The most important thing is to enjoy what you are doing and have FUN. Get in touch for support – I have a couple of spaces left but they will be gone soon. Get in touch and get a coach.
